Our Mission:

Bruins Fighting Pediatric Cancer (BFPC) was founded in 2009 with the vision to unite UCLA undergraduates in efforts to “Never let cancer cloud the joy of being a kid.” Our main focus is to find a cure for every child with cancer. We pursue our mission in a variety of ways: raising awareness and educating those who do not know much about pediatric cancer, volunteering at pediatric oncology clinics, camps, and events, and fundraising to support pediatric cancer research. As of 2020, we have raised over $20,000 for cancer research!

The National Cancer Institute spends 96% of its budget on adult cancers and only 4% of its budget on children’s cancers.
