Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House

“Together is the best place to be.”

Bruins Fighting Pediatric Cancer (BFPC) volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in Los Angeles. RMH is a location close to the hospital where the families of pediatric oncology patients can stay during their child’s treatment. This allows families to stay together, while also providing support services such as free meals, laundry, and counseling. Throughout the quarter, BFPC visits RMH three to four times to engage in a movie night as well as other creative activities. During each visit, we play a movie on the TV and interact with the kids through games, conversation, and crafts. While some of the parents or kids prefer to immerse themselves in the movie, most of the children enjoy interacting with our volunteers establishing great memories and happy moments. Visiting RMH is one of BFPC’s favorite activities, and we are so grateful to have not only our board, but our members a part of this amazing opportunity.
